Computer Science

The Degree in Computer Science is offered by the Doctoral School in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Padova, from 2013.

The doctoral program has a duration of 3 years, and includes the following research areas:

  1. Programming languages: models and languages for concurrent, mobile, and distributed systems Techniques for static analysis and automatic verification of software systems;
  2. Artificial Intelligence: machine learning, pattern recognition, neural networks, kernel methods Preference reasoning, knowledge representation, multi-agent systems, computational social choice;
  3. Systems: wireless networks, mobile applications, online games, privacy and security Concurrent, distributed, real-time systems, cloud computing Web technologies, social nets, semantic web, complex systems.

The number of students admitted to the "Computer Science" area are about 3-4 new students per year with fellowships supported by the University of Padova and by other sponsors.
